Forex Risk Disclosure Statement

Forex (FX) trading carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. Forex can be traded with a high degree of leverage, which can work for you as well as against you, and it is possible to loss more than you invest. You should only invest funds that you can afford to lose and do not need to support yourself or your family. You should carefully consider all risks involved with forex trading as well as your financial situation, investment objectives, and risk tolerance before investing. Forex is traded over-the-counter (OTC) and not on a regulated Exchange.

Today we had some interesting things go on.  Got ahold of a friend of a friend who runs an FX fund paying out 1% a month no matter what, guaranteed.  They’ve got an arbitrage that’s quite solid.  Any interest let me know.
For our regulars, K-3 slipped .62% more, CBM down .48% more, Elite down .57%, Coe […]

So for the guys I’m watching - for the last few days, K-3 steady, CBM down 3.5%, Elite giving back th elast couple dayss, a little under 2%.  VAM up strong, over 4% in two days.  Mansfield steady, Devrim up a tiny bit one day, no trade the second.  Fit slight recovery, and Coe nearing […]

All righty back in the groove after a long weekend of sailing - across to Michigan City in my boat, a couple days at a gorgeous lake house overlooking Lake Michigan, then raced back on the J120 I normally race on, the third leg of the tri-state race.  Great wind and weather for everything.  I […]

CBM

By admin • Aug 30th, 2007 • Category: Coe, Devrim, Elite, Fit FX, K-3, Sentiment

CBM apparently recovered and is up 5% on the month, good to see.  Elite pullback, Devrim up over a half percent each of the last three days, impressive trading.  Getting VAM going soon, found out 25% drawdowns are normal - not my style but can be “traded” or timed by some, one guy I know […]

Yossi/FRI

By admin • Aug 23rd, 2007 • Category: CBM, Coe, Devrim, Econophysics, Equity Tracking Software, FRI, Fit FX, High Street, K-3, Mansfield, Sentiment, Sentinel, Swanson

Not a ton going on lately.  Small hiccup with Yossi, apparently they will be running the system from their office, and it will run 100% of the time.  The track record has a bit of discretion in it - where the trader who built it would run it and turn it off around news, volatility, […]

Fit FX

Took a bunch of folks from church out sailing last night.  After was supposed to meet my FX friend and a Fit FX principal for dinner, I was late so went home and was going to go to bed, however they insisted I come out, I’m glad he did as I got to meet Nick.  Great guy, stayed […]

Crazy Currency Markets

By admin • Aug 16th, 2007 • Category: Coe, Devrim, Econophysics, Fit FX, K-3

Wow!  The most volatile day in currencies since 1988 somebody told me.  Craziness as the carry trades unwind in a quick way - Yen/Sterling moved 11 handles??  What?  Pounded a bunch of traders - Econophysics, Coe slaughtered.  Fit FX not Much.  However - there were winners - K-3/King’s Crossing tore it up, doing very well, the […]

CBM and K-3/King’s Crossing

By admin • Aug 15th, 2007 • Category: BTR, CBM, Coe, Econophysics, FRI, K-3, Swanson

Got CBM up and running today - never a down month supposedly in over a year but 7+% drawdowns intramonth. I’ll keep you posted on how it trades. They’re up 2-3% roughly on the month and Damien thinks that’s bad…
My buddy should get FRI trading next week - very excited on that […]

Devrim

By admin • Aug 14th, 2007 • Category: Coe, Devrim, Econophysics, Elite, Emil, Sentiment, Swanson

Devrim is now at PFG - good news, took forever to get him to do the paperwork.  He hasn’t actually started trading however, so we will see but I believe he will, spoke with him yesterday about it.  He’s good.  His big chunk of money is at another firm however, so we will see if […]

Forex CTAs

Quick update.  Alderon down over 2%, Fit FX hurting, down over 8% I’d say since I started them.  Maybe the big money that pulled from them knew what it was doing.  I don’t really know much about them but my friend who showed them to me really likes them.  We’ll see on that one.  Devrim has […]
