Forex Risk Disclosure Statement

Forex (FX) trading carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. Forex can be traded with a high degree of leverage, which can work for you as well as against you, and it is possible to lose more than you invest. You should only invest funds that you can afford to lose and do not need to support yourself or your family. You should carefully consider all risks involved with forex trading as well as your financial situation, investment objectives, and risk tolerance before investing. Forex is traded over-the-counter (OTC) and not on a regulated Exchange.

Tough Month, Good Month

By admin • Jun 26th, 2008 • Category: 007, Devrim, ForexMx, Ian, Mcelhaney, Paskewitz, Triton

Many guys are struggling (but many aren’t, see below), Devrim most notably so.  Not sure what to say about his program except it would be real nice to have it back in the black.  Looking like his first down month may be inevitable, makes his record look more realistic.  Matador off 2% on the month.  ForexMax I hear is off 15% the last couple months, glad we got out when we did, he never made money in our time with him.  Triton off yesterday, positive today, he is distraught having come off his best month and going to his worst month just as he brought on clients.  He’s taking some time to get his head back on, pressure to run outside money and wants to impress so maybe pushing it more than normal, combined with his trades just not following through.  I think he’ll work it out and we’ll have a money maker on our hands.  Time will tell, maybe I’m being biased as we’re in a partnership and that is blinding me, hope not.  He did tone down his trading volume today, taking only one winner, nice to see, maybe a new pattern.

Good meeting with Paskewitz, also a large well-known futures third party fellow who’s been around 30+ years and raised boatloads of money, was great to meet him and have his support and hear some of his wisdom.

Ian tells me he is up 13.8% on the month - had the Eur/Cad on in addition to the Eur/Try, so made money on both.  His system makes so much sense to me.  He takes an opinion on a currency going off the country’s policies, interest rates, governement, economy, etc.  Then he looks at the intrinsic value of the currency that he figures out with his proprietary system, looks at the trend of that value, and then waits until it is overbought or sold versus TWO other currencies (in case one gets whipped around by news or whatever).  He only places trades with positive carry. (gets paid interest to sit in the trade)  So he gets as much as possible in his favor and only then will place his trades.  Seems a sound system to me.

Starting Rove, we’ll see how they do.  I like that they are at Oanda, low trading fees are always good, they are only getting paid if they make money for me.  Need some time to research all these other names I have, if anybody has any winners would love to hear, I’ll keep them to myself if you’d like.

Mcelhannon to new equity highs he tells me on the Premium program.  And another impressive positive trader, 007 is up about 2% on the month.  After reading through, actually a number of traders are doing just fine or better than fine this month.

  1. what is this guy devrim doing? looking forward to wipe out our accounts? what a big joke. this really can’t be serious. again he sticks to his usdaud shorts which he only closes with loss. +40 pips a few hours ago, no it has turned out to be a loser trade again and of course, this money annihilator let’s the losers run.

  2. prepare for more loss today. usd news later this day which will hurt the usd but i am sure dev will stick to his trades, longing the usd. so we will face more loss later. this guy really has turned 180 degrees…of course, by accident.

  3. When i look for investment firms or managed fx traders, I always meet with their management and trading team. I feel a company that works as a team and has a team of traders is more disciplined than a single trader making all the decisions…
